How does the child of famous parents map a life for herself, when she frequently feels like she is living in the real life version of Absolutely Fabulous?
Imagine playing your very first music gig in the grottiest pub, far beyond the hip, twinkling allure of the Kings Road in London, where the Rolling Stones once promenaded... and your mother, Liz Brewer, turns up with one of her best friends, Dame Shirley Bassey?
Iconic journalist and editor of The Luminaries Slow Culture Magazine, Alison Jane Reid, meets singer-songwriter, Tallulah Rendall, on the eve of her new album launch, Only Human. Tallulah's voice and vocal presence soars and intoxicates in its girlish, ghostly charm, while the multi-layered music creates a sacred space that is irresistible, all consuming.
Only Human is Rendall's captivating, angelic, trip hop ode to being brave, fearless, open and earnest about her own battles with not feeling good enough, sometimes having panic attacks and how music has helped her to feel comfortable in her own skin again. The artist also deploys her profound understanding of Sound Healing and Qi Gong to create music that feels ancient, profound and rooted in the earliest practices of music to reach the soul.
Tallulah Rendall - An Original, Spiritual Pop Voice

Tallulah Rendall possesses an original, dream-like, ghostly voice, like silk and smoke. She's the consummate songstress with something important to say in a sea of female vocalists who sound depressingly over manufactured and all the same. The production on the song Human is stunning for its girlish charm and calls to be understood amid a complex, dream-like other worldly soundscape.
Music for Girls from Nine to Ninety
This is music for girls, whether you are nine, nineteen or ninety. It's the kind of music you can dance around the house to when you are having a bad day, or listen to the track Run in your car, on a walk or just because you need someone who understands how difficult, disconcerting and challenging life can be and that is okay.
Christian the Lion and the Accidental Environmentalist
Rendall is the daughter of social etiquette, indefatigable wonder woman, Liz Brewer. Yes, that Liz Brewer, and the late pr and accidental environmentalist, John Rendall, one half of the duo who purchased Christian the Lion cub from the Harrods pet shop and took him to Africa, with the Born Free Foundation, where he successfully joined a pride of wild lions.
As Tallulah Rendall, the independent singer-songwriter and sound healing performance artist extraordinaire, Rendall has gone out of her way to tread her own path, although music is definitely in her genes. She tells me her father considered a career as an opera singer when he was young.
Perhaps too, she is finally comfortable with the idea that it is okay to be successful in her own right. That she has earned it, after two decades of making albums and touring across the UK and Europe.
This week as she releases her most raw, intimate and honest album to date, Only Human, she declares she has never been more ambitious for her music and where it can take her in an age where people are clamouring for authentic music, for vinyl, for live concerts, and the profound connection between sound, joy, energy and the power of performance to make us feel human in all its messy, unpredictable spirit and glory...
Desert Island Discs and A Shot of Validation
Now here is thing. Every artist no matter how talented needs an element of good luck and a moment of validation to reach nine million listeners and for it to have nothing to do with your mother!!!!
That moment suddenly exploded last year.
